A fiercely loyal lady, along with her brooding duke come head-to-head in a battle of wills! An unforgettable regency romance from New York Times Bestselling Author Joanne Wadsworth.

He must steal a lady…then steal her love.

Desiring a man and never being noticed as more than his best friend’s little sister has Lady Ellie Trentbury finally consigning herself to the truth. She must move on, and preferably with a man who lives far away from her home in London where she need never be reminded of the duke who stole her heart. An elopement with an honorable American shipping merchant sounds perfect.

The Duke of Ashten has no choice but to bound into his best friend’s carriage when he discovers little Ellie is inside and intent on eloping with a man to Gretna Green who she barely knows. He can’t allow her to make such a terrible mistake, yet convincing her might mean giving into his desire for the golden-eyed enchantress who has followed him around since he was a lad.

Her pouty lips and bountiful charms can no longer be ignored, only convincing her of the truth of his intentions will mean jeopardizing both his sanity and a lifelong friendship as well.

Hi everyone, The Duke’s Bride is here! The writing of this book took me on a whirlwind of adventure, and I can’t wait for you to meet Ellie and Ashten. They’ve known each other since their childhood, and now it’s time for them to admit their love for each other. I’m going to drop a tasty excerpt below.

EXCLUSIVE EXCERPT:

Ellie had always wished for such a moment as this, and since this might be the only opportunity she ever had with Ashten, she placed her gloved hand in his and showed her ready acceptance with her actions.

“You are far too trusting.”

“You would never hurt me.”

“Let’s hope not.” Gently, he turned her hand over and finger by finger, tugged on the soft silk until he’d removed her glove then done, dropped it onto the bench beside him and brought her palm to his mouth. With one warm and incredibly soft kiss against her skin, the midnight blue of his eyes twinkling bright, he asked, “Are you ready?”

“Is there anything I need to do during this disrespectful kiss?”

“No, not a thing.” As the opening notes of a waltz floated toward them, he rose and drew her to her feet, then slowly, carefully, he pulled her into his arms.

“I can’t believe we’re about to dance.”

“And kiss.”

“Yes, that too.” She placed her gloved hand on his shoulder, her ungloved hand still held firm in his. Never had she ever danced this close to a gentleman before. Six inches was the required etiquette, and there was less than three inches between them right now. “You look dashing, as if you’ve dressed for this ball tonight, then chose to remain indoors.”

“Since we’re being honest, I was extremely tempted to come.” He swept her around the inner circle of his gazebo, his hand firm on her waist and his limp barely noticeable. “Did you have to dance”—he cleared his gruff throat—“with quite so many men tonight?”

“Yes, but I much prefer dancing here with you right now.” Her legs wobbled. Was Ashten truly going to kiss her? Perhaps he was simply testing her, to see if she really did have a suitor she intended on eloping with. If he was, then she’d have to take great care.

“There’s an allure to a disrespectful kiss. Do you want to know what it is?” He leaned in closer, his breath whispering across her lips.

“Tell me.” She sucked in a breath, her heartbeat thundering in her ears.

“It’s called the danger that awaits with the conclusion of that kiss. Does one simply stop, or does one continue with a second disrespectful kiss?”

Wishing you all a wonderful week. Stay safe.

Happy Reading.

Highlander’s Claim, The Matheson Warriors #2

Ebook: Amazon US | Amazon UK | Amazon CA | Amazon AU

Paperback: Amazon | B&N

He seeks the one his heart desires…

Ailith, the granddaughter of the King of the Fae, travels through time when needed to aid her half-blooded Earthbound kind. Her ability allows her to see visions of war and destruction before it unfolds, and now death is coming for one of the fae warriors she is called to protect, except to save him, she must first discover exactly who he is, and which time he might come from.

Warrior shifter Hunter Matheson is intrigued by Ailith when she arrives through a portal into his twenty-first century time from the year 1211. A feud rages over eight-hundred years in the past between his fae-blooded shifter clan and their neighboring enemy, and now he’s driven in his desires for her, would give his life to protect hers. His fierce need for her strikes him deep within. He’s certain she’s the woman who holds the other half of his soul and now there’s nothing he won’t do to remain right by her side, no matter what war she seeks to halt, or if he’s the very warrior she must save from certain death.

Can Ailith keep Hunter safe, or will he perish exactly as she’s foreseen?

Hi everyone, Highlander’s Claim is here. I’m going to drop a tasty excerpt below. I absolutely loved writing this book, and I can’t wait for you to all meet Cherub’s nieces. Ailith is one of them, and she features in this book, and wow, she leads Hunter on a merry chase during the forging of their mated bond. Expect, action, adventure, battles, and fierce love.

EXCERT:

Ailith squeezed her hands into fists and tried not to open the door and bound back out. She both wanted to be with Hunter, and didn’t. His safety was only assured if she set these rising emotions for him aside and returned to the past. She couldn’t take him with her, and he wasn’t permitted to follow. That was the only option moving forward, until she no longer saw a vision of him perishing.

The cracking of bones echoed under the door then the heavy thump and scratch of paws resounded. Shifters could be incredibly territorial and if they were mated, he would be even more territorial due to their bond. Somehow, he’d already tracked her down. Drat it all. She jiggled from foot to foot, so unsure as to what to do. Let Hunter come in and spell him to forget her again? Or ignore him?

More thumping and scratching, a bear’s muzzle pressed to the gap under the doorway and a snort and growl rumbling through. Ugh, he wasn’t leaving, not until she’d dealt with him again. Heart squeezing in on itself, she opened her door and leaned against the doorjamb, then tried her best to assert as much authority into her voice as she could. “What do you want?”

A big bear prowled back and forth, Hunter’s clothing scattered across the floor of the passageway. He’d shifted in a hurry, and boy, did she have her work cut out for her with him. His bear’s golden shifter eyes drilled into hers, his beast holding a stunning brown pelt with white-tipped paws.

He rumbled another grizzly growl, then padded past her into her chamber before turning around in a slow circle in the middle of the room at the end of her four-poster bed. He sat on his rump on the white rug, his front legs straight and ears alert as he observed her like one did when examining a bug under a microscope. Aye, and she was currently the bug.

Hi everyone, I’m super excited to be bringing you The Duke’s Bride, releasing October 2nd, 2017. I spent four weeks researching this story, before I’d even written a word, and this whirlwind adventure became a labor of love to write. This is the first book in my all-new Regency Brides series, with a further three books plotted and ready to be written. Catch the exclusive excerpt below for a taste of what’s to come.

Can Ailith keep Hunter safe, or will he perish exactly as she’s foreseen?

Hi everyone, I had such a blast writing Highlander’s Claim and getting to know Hunter and Ailith. Ailith is actually Cherub’s niece, one of the full-blooded fae from beyond the veil, and in this story more of the faerie realm comes to light. You’ll also get to meet Ailith’s sisters too, both of whom have their own story in the next two books in this series. Cherub and Kirk sure have their work cut out for them watching over these three cheeky lasses. Excitingly, Isla also features in Highlander’s Claim as well, and she’s getting very close to the end of her pregnancy. I can’t wait for her twin sons (holding the seer ability) to be born. Isla and Iain have actually asked me (well, demanded) I write their story about their travels to Stirling Castle far in the past, as well as the coming birth of their babies, so that will be happening since they won’t let me be. 🙂

In other exciting news, I’ve also written my first Regency Romance in the last couple of months, and plotted out a further three Regency novels in this new series titled REGENCY BRIDES. The first book, The Duke’s Bride, will release October 24th, 2017. Here’s a sneak peek at the cover, just for you. No pre-order links yet, but they’ll be up late July.

Wishing you all a wonderful week. Stay safe.

Happy Reading.
